About This Website
This website is built to support and document the lives of a group of King's College Alumni and their friends.
It acts as both a living testament to the enduring bonds of friendship of this fellowship, as well as a hub of information sharing and support.

Rivendale

This group of Alumni graduated in the 1975-1976 time frame from King's College of Wilkes-barre, Pa. and boasts such names as Frank, Mark, Kevin, Scott, Paul, John, Randy, Fitzy, Mike, Joanne, Ed, Duane, Vandy, Gallagher, Jake, Harvey, Curt and others.

The group started this tradition from a campout in the woods and grew through the years to be a defining point for many lives. The attendees of these parties varied with a few stalwart individuals , and friends came and enjoyed the convivial atmosphere and came back again and again.

The attachment to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien grew during our school years. The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy struck a cord of popularity to the extent that individuals of our group were named after characters - John being Bilbo, Frank as Frodo, Gos as Gandalf, Scott as Aragorn, Curt as Beorn, Mark as Tom Bombadil etc. The truth be told, our lives at the time would parallel that of the Hobbits who also shared the simple enjoyments of brew, song and adventures.

Every year, toward the waning of summer, the fellowship of the King's converge together and enjoy a weekend of merriment. The festivities have grown to such an extent that a rock band has become the soul of the celebration and produces the mood that gladdens the hearts of those that journeyed from afar. A pageant takes place that features the raw and seasoned talents of those that dare to trip the boards.

This website will grow and develop as our fellowship has done. Its intent is to communicate past, present and future interests and needs of our circle of friends.
