UNEXPECTED PARTY |

I hope you are all enjoying yourselves as much as I am, and
I truly hope that this "1st of 2" messages finds you in good
health & spirits.
After much consultation, the weekend of: AUGUST 14,15 & 16
has been selected as the joyous occasion for a transfusion
of love, comraderie, laughter, partying and Brotherhood.
I trust (and hope) that this is an acceptable date. The Fellowship
has been actively confering to insure that "All is go" for
a fine midday in August.
Of course, it really is not much work, since we are pros at
this annual rite of summer. We have been working on a few
interesting twists:
1.) Frodo is involved in a massive lobbying and organizational
effort to provide - Now Get This- A live Band!! I hope Sam
and Merry are around to provide some helping hands!
2.) Paul & Mary Lou are going to attempt to insure that we
do not collectively bring enough food "To feed the starving
3rd world population". It is his task (who else but the Polish
Gourmet) to organize the cooking brigade. They will be in
touch with you soon. Good Luck!
3.) Gong Show - Penny Vanderlin suggested that we organize
a variety show. Here's your Big Chance to Show What You Got
(not you Duane)! Penny and the even resourceful Gandalf will
act as the "Masters of Ceremony". Dont punk out come with
an act, You know Bilbo Baggins will!!!
4.) Strider has once again promised to capture the magical
event on celluloid. He also may have a surprise!
5.) Finally -This is still an unconfirmed rumor - The flying
Cucharacha Brothers my amake an appearance; repeating their
famed feats- off the Cliffs of the Wild Rhodo! I sit beside
the fire and think, of people long ago, and people who will
see a world, I hope to always know, But all the while I sit
and think, of times there were before, I listen for returning
feet, and voices at the door.

Greetings,
I hope this letter finds you in good health & spirits. Well,
were heading down the home stretch for this years recreation
and celebration of the "Unexpected Party". As announced, the
dates are: August 14,15 & 16. I've had a good response from
the long-standing "Expected Guests", Friends from the North,
Friends from the South (South Jersey that is!) and of course,
a few unexpected guests. Of course, all people (or hobbits)
of good cheer are invited to this gala event.
1) I've heard from a number of golks who are planning on a Friday
arrival. the earlier the better. We'll use this day to prepare
the site. Of course, partying will accompany our task. In the
evening-Guitars around the campfire.
2.) Paul & MaryLou are waiting to hear from everyone. They have
volunteered to plan, purchase and transport the food for Saturday
& Sunday Breakfasts and the Saturday Dinner. The Bill of Fare
includes: Steak, Baked Potatoes, Corn on the Cob and a fine
antipasto. They need to get an accurate "head-count". The cost
will be shared by all.
3.) food - Since the 3 major meals are being organized - you
are all free to be creative in your contribution of "Fine cakes
and ale"
4.) GONG SHOW - This is a big oppportunity for all of you "Closet
Thespians" to take the stage. Be creative, This will provide
plenty of laughs... By the way.... My brother thinks he's a
chicken...
5.) The good intentions of Frodo to provide a band have encountered
some technical difficulties. He is continuuing his efforts,
but things look shakey. Maybe......
6.) Of course, Bilbo, Frodo & Tit B. will provide a quality
sound system - cassete tapes - bring a few!
