| The
20th Anniversary Unexpected Party Celebration |
Twenty
Years and Going and Going and Going It's been twenty years
at this writing since they first came across "The Hobbit"
in the kingdom of Kings. Since that time they've been Unexpectedly
joining forces to remember that time and create timeless more
memories that'll be recalled twenty years yet. This impulse,
being called reactionary now was called impossible then, but
these lovers of Middle Earth will want to go back again. Just
what is this madness and why has it survived?
There are many answers to that question as there are stars
in the Grey Havens. This year on August 6,7 & 8th the Adventure
continuues. In a year when the Who's Tommy is being sung on
Broadway one might be inclined to say - "This fellowship is
just slightly ahead of their time". For The Who's Tommy has
been sung by them for 20 years now at the Unexpected Party.
Early reports indicate that when each arrives for the 20th
anniverssary of the Unexpected Party all will be very delighted.
For Tit Bombadil, Bilbo and Jerry Beorn Gos have combined
their imagination, skill and resources to treat the fellowship
to a very unepected surprise. This is taking place, of course
under the watchful eyes of Gandalf. Further details on this
are still unavailable. Reports also predict an unforgettable
Friday night party, "The best ever" vow's Gandalf, who continues
with "Tommy in it's entirety is definitely in order". And
Saturday night is guaranteed to be "the most memorable yet"
by Bilbo the ancient Hobbit who along with Cathy Took will
be celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary that very night.
Formal attire is optional at this gala event whose traditional
stage show will certainly include the return of 'Tit and the
Knockers', some of whom are rumored to be flying in from far.
As always, the Macgraw Econo-Lodge will be full of late arriving
party goers who love the fact it's a short 5 minute drive
from the festivities.
Of course speidies will be in abundant supply as will brew,
tequila, lemons, cakes (of birthday tradition), burgers, hotdogs
(with ketchup and mustard) and slightly under-cooked chicken
(by Tit). There will be dancing, singing, laughing and swimming.
There will be remembering and remembering, old photo's, old
letters, and stories from 20 years and beyond. There will
be old friends and new friends (soon to be old friends). There
will be creatures who have bever been and those that have
never missed. From this reporters view, there are two decades
and even fewer that deserve to, but this Unexpected Party
is one that should and even better Has!!!
